Militia units called Texas Rangers were organized, early as 1823, to fight Indians. They were formalized into state troops during the War of Texas Independence 1835-1836. One group, the Gonzales Ranging Company of Mounted Volunteers, joined the defenders of the Alamo and died with them.

By utilizing a large variety of heads, arms, weapons, and by rotating the paint schemes, each of these Mounted Texas Rangers will be unique.
